Fact #88: You’re Lying
“I’m here for you.”
“It’s okay.”
“I love you.”
If you have to say something to make someone understand it, it probably isn’t
true. These are the sorts of emotive, empathetic connections that only action and presence can communicate.
Make sure that you know in advance whether or not you’re really willing to be in this place for your friends and family – and then make sure they know it too.
You won’t even have to say anything when the time comes.
